'Rock of Ages' Review

Tom Cruise is a hoot as a steretotypical glam-rock god, and Catherine Zeta-Jones knows just how to camp up her uber-conservative character, but Adam Shankman's hectic "Rock of Ages" is otherwise an overlong slice of hectic hackery.

'Easter Parade'

Happy Easter, y'all. I'd normally post something on "Steel Magnolias" this day, but I'm in the midst of watching "Easter Parade." It's my first time, and it's all very luscious. 1948. Irving Berlin. Judy Garland. Fred Astaire. Peter Lawford. Color, color color.

The star who runs away with the best scene is easily Ms. Ann Miller, aka Coco from our fave mindbender, "Mulholland Drive." Dolled up like a bumblebee and killing the lightning-quick choreography, Miller intoxicates in an oh-so-watchable tap number.

'Burlesque' Review

So, everybody knew the majority of critics would boo "Burlesque" off the proverbial stage. But, I'm sorry, I don't exactly trust you if you didn't have a good bit of fun in this all-for-entertainment musical. It entertained the hell out of me, crap script and all.
